Power-system stability improvement by decentralized energy

The electrical energy is a primary prerequisite for economic growth. Modern power system operates under much stressed conditions because of growth in demand and deregulation of electric power system. Cogeneration and power generation from renewable play a key role in these scenarios. In this paper the affects of DE on the system voltage stability has been assessed. The maximum loadability margin and losses of the sample system with distributed generation has been calculated. The problem is formulated as a multi-objective optimization problem and solved by interior point method for various combination of distributed generation. A comparison of the results obtained is carried out for different location of DE. The optimal locations of DE are suggested for a sample network. IEEE 30 bus system is considered for proposed study.
