Web-enhanced tools for an engineering economics course

This paper describes the development of
instructional materials for a course on Engineering
Economics. The course is broken down into modules,
sessions and activities. Modules cover material such as
“Evaluation of Independent Projects.” At the session level,
the learner may do any of the following: read from text,
participate in instructor-led classroom learning, or pursue
an e-learning activity. E-learning activities were designed
to allow the student to explore the relationship between
aspects of a given concept, and to readily ask “what-if” type
questions
